Range safety, basic form, and distance shooting — the starting point for every archer at Birchwood, no experience needed.

What to expect

Recreational is where nearly everyone at Birchwood starts. Each session covers range safety, proper stance and form, and shooting at steadily increasing distances as your comfort grows. Coaches keep group sizes manageable so every archer gets real attention, not just a spot in a crowd.

Minimum age7 years old, due to our insurance and liability coverage.

Experience neededNone — this is the entry point for first-time archers.

What comes nextRecreational archers often move on to Private Lessons or the ArX Competition Program once they're ready.
